Name: The Devil wears Prada
Author: Lauren Weisberger
Genre: Chick Li

Rating:
A delightfully dishy novel about the all-time most impossible boss in the history of impossible bosses.

Andrea Sachs, a small-town girl fresh out of college, lands the job “a million girls would die for.” Hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the high-profile, fabulously successful editor of Runway magazine, Andrea finds herself in an office that shouts Prada! Armani! Versace! at every turn, a world populated by impossibly thin, heart-wrenchingly stylish women and beautiful men clad in fine-ribbed turtlenecks and tight leather pants that show off their lifelong dedication to the gym. With breathtaking ease, Miranda can turn each and every one of these hip sophisticates into a scared, whimpering child.(goodreads)

REVIEW:

Oh my! How do I start reviewing this book? Honestly, when I started reading it I made a mistake, I compared it to the movie. And we all know the movies are nothing like the books, they are usually not as good as the books. When I started reading it I was so disappointed, I compared it to the movie and I really shouldn't have. It started a bit slow but it picked up the pace very soon. As I was reading it I played the movie in my head making note of the differences and the similarities, and when something was not in the movie i was like WHAT?? WHY??. But as I got closer to the middle of the book I could not put it down, it was so GOOD! I realized that the Miranda in the movie is an ANGEL compared to the one in the book. Man, even I was scared of her. :O . Also the book gives you some GREAT insight on Andy's relationships  with Emily, with Miranda and with her boyfriend. it was a great book but more than once Miranda made me shut the book for a day, she would get me mad!

The Good: It will help you see the story in a different view, specially the movie. A bit slow.

The Bad: It is almost NOTHING like the movie. You will love the Miranda in the movie.
