Name: Storm Warning (39 Clues Book #9)
Author: Gordon Korman
Genre: YA, Series
Rating:

Throughout the hunt for the 39 Clues, Amy and Dan have encountered some of the darkest aspects of history . . . and had to deal with the role their family played. But are they ready for the truth? In this thrilling ninth installment, Amy and Dan hit the high seas as they follow the trail of some infamous ancestors to track down a long lost treasure. However, the real prize isn’t hidden in a chest. It's the discovery of the Madrigals' most dangerous secret and, even more shockingly, the true identity of the mysterious man in black.(goodreads)

REVIEW:

This book is one of my favorites. In here Amy and Dan work hard to find the next clue, and the first stop is a cave in the Caribbean. They must find 4 key trinkets, 1 for each branch and its correspondent animal, as their are important in the clue hunt. Many dangers occur during this mission, including Dan and Amy almost drowning inside the cave, and Amy hitting her head hard because of the waves. The kids still can't seem to trust Nellie, so they must find the clues without her and their relationship grows insecure. I love this book because they finally find out about the truth of the Madrigal branch. They get this letter from M.C, and they, with the help of Nellie, meet a mysterious figure that always seemed to be present during times of distress. The man in black.....only now is the man in gray lol :D. He introduces himself and tells the story of the Madrigals. He reveals himself as the brother of Grace Cahill, the kids' late grandmother. But that is not the only shock, he reveals that a 5th branch, exists. The Madrigal branch, led by Madeleine Cahill, the last child of the Cahill siblings. She was born after the family split up and the potion was distributed to the Cahill siblings, which is why no one ever knew her. And an even shocking secret....... one that changes the whole outcome of the clue hunt......and the way the entire Cahill family thinks...

The Good: I just love the story of Madeleine, it was very fun to read about her and her mission. Plus, Nellie and the kids make up :D

The Bad: I just hate Isabel Kabra......
