MUSING MONDAYS is a weekly event where MizB will ask a book/reading-related question, and you answer with your own thoughts on the topic. Everyone can join in! Just acknowledge them and post the link to your Musing Mondays in their comments. http://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/

(08/06/12) Today's Topic is What attracts you to a book blog? What puts you off in a book blog?

Honestly, I like challenges. A lot. So if a blogger is up to some challenges I would definitely keep reading. Also I enjoy looking at books I do not know or would never really choose to read. Maybe it is a genre I am not used to and I enjoy reading about the person's opinion and say on the book. There is not much that puts me off, maybe if the blog isn't very attractive to the eye that could make me lose focus.

Name: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw
Author:Jeff Kinney
Genre: Series

Let’s face it: Greg Heffley will never change his wimpy ways. Somebody just needs to explain that to Greg’s father. You see, Frank Heffley actually thinks he can get his son to toughen up, and he enlists Greg in organized sports and other "manly” endeavors. Of course, Greg is able to easily sidestep his father’s efforts to change him. But when Greg’s dad threatens to send him to military academy, Greg realizes he has to shape up . . . or get shipped out.(goodreads)

REVIEW: The book starts with making up resolutions for the new year. But because he does not have any defects, he makes resolutions for others. Because that is not enough, he tries to survive middle school and ask a girl out. This leads to many hilarious moments like him putting his Mom's robe after a shower and standing on the hot air vent in the floor while his dad walks in on him. Also, a new mystery arrives. The mystery of the disappearance of school snacks, ending with Greg catching the thief red handed. And to make it worse, his dad thinks Greg needs to toughen up a little, and tries to send him to military school. What will he do?!

The Good: I just love the robe thing. HAHAHHA!!

The Bad: Can't find any. My favorite book so far!
