All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of a victory are grim. Kronos’s army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan’s power only grows.

While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate

REVIEW:

The last olympian, the last book. Well not quite, there is a new series called "The Heroes of Olympus" but that is another story. This is the book I was waiting for since I started the series. In here, the battle is fully on against kronos, the Titan of Time. We meet many battles and loses. The Gods have their own battle against Typhon, the lord of the monsters. The one monster that almost destroyed them once before. Meanwhile, Percy, Annabeth, Grover along with the few campers remaining from Camp Half Blood and the Hunters of Artemis led by Thalia, daughter of Zeus, try to stand their guard and protect Mount Olympus from Kronos' never ending army of monsters. Many things happen here. Percy turns 16, and becomes the child of the Great Prophecy. He must make the decision that will either destroy or save Mount Olympus and the Gods. Annabeth must also make a decision of her own, one that will affect history. At the end they must battle not only Kronos, but Luke and one choice will change destiny. On top of that, Percy must choose between what one desires and what is needed, hearth or power. This is the last book of this first series, but a second series has already been made: "The Heroes of Olympus"; starting with a new Great Prophecy, one that will make the last one look like a joke.

Name:Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #3)
Author: Rick Riordan
Genre: Fantasy, Mythology, Series

Rating:

When the goddess Artemis goes missing, she is believed to have been kidnapped. And now it's up to Percy and his friends to find out what happened. Who is powerful enough to kidnap a goddess? They must find Artemis before the winter solstice, when her influence on the Olympian Council could swing an important vote on the war with the titans. Not only that, but first Percy will have to solve the mystery of a rare monster that Artemis was hunting when she disappeared—a monster rumored to be so powerful it could destroy Olympus forever.

REVIEW:

Titan's curse is probably my second favorite book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. First, I just loved it when Poseidon showed up at Percy's birthday party. And the whole "blowfish" thing was HILARIOUS. This book really shows you how difficult this prophecy will be. There are so many things going on that it is truly hard to think the Titans will lose. Everything is crumbling, there are spies at camp, so many battles to fight, and many new monsters appear. This books prepares you for the end. It definitely shows the series has much more to offer. Definitely worth reading!
