In this first installment of the 50 shades series, we are introduced to Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Ana is a hopeless romantic who has sheltered herself from the wilder side of life as she prepares to graduate college. Christian is a successful and controlling man who was shown dominant/submissive relationships since he was 15 years old....thanks to Mrs. Robinson. 

Christian wants to introduce Ana to his life, however, she is guarded and has a mind of her own. Stubborn and headstrong, she is not the ideal submissive yet there is something about her that he cannot resist. Throughout the story, we see conflict and resolution but will the "hardcore" punishment that Christian craves be acceptable for Ana?
