Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of Athena (#3)

 

Things are getting good!!!!!

Percy and Annabeth are back together and I just love that, their love is so pure and awesome. Also, the seven half-bloods are finally united and ready to head on to their journey to fulfill the prophecy and destroy Gaea. 

The seven half-bloods include Greeks Percy, Annabeth, Piper, and Leo with the Romans Jason, Hazel (daughter of Hades/Pluto) and Frank (Son of Mars/Ares), but also with the help of Nico, Son of Hades and half sibling of Hazel. 

There are romantic pairings in Hazel/Frank, Percy/Annabeth, Jason/Piper and Leo/Calypso. And I'm so here for it. 

We have the heroes travel in the Argo II (created by Leo with the help of Festus the metal dragon) to Greece where it all began. However, Gaea has minions everywhere and following them. She causes Percy and Jason to fight against each other (they are both THE leaders) in order to kill them, however, they are saved by Annabeth and Piper. 

That scene is one of my favorite's ever! We have Percy with his hydro powers (and with new ones which include creating storms) and Jason with his air powers (creating his own thunderstorms)! Neither of them win but if I must say, Percy had the upper hand in my own opinion (I believe Percy is THE strongest half blood). 

However, Annabeth has a prophecy to fulfill while trying to retrieve an Athena monument that can give them the upper edge. Annabeth ends up having to battle Athena's number one enemy and let's just say Annabeth is so brave.
