The Heroes of Olympus: The House of Hades (#4)

Man, Percy and Annabeth are in quite a pickle. Continuing from the previous book's cliffhanger, Percy and Annabeth find themselves in hell. Literally. They are in Tartarus. In the worst part of Hell/underworld where the monsters reside. And they are stuck there.

They need to figure out the way to survive the horrible nature of Tartarus, which is filled with poison, fires, poisoned air, horrible regenerating monsters and their worst nightmares. And Annabeth is very concerned throughout the journey of Percy and that is because Percy uses some obscure hydro powers that he has never used before because they are horrible. It's as if Tartarus is changing them and trying to turn them bad.

Even worse for Nico Di Angelo, he has been captured and has no other choice but to go into a trance state of hibernation for a child of Hades in which he eats pomegranate seeds from Persephone's garden and he can survive longer while using barely any air. Someone must save him before he dies!

This book is so so good and probably my second favorite book of the whole series. It is filled with questionable moments for the heroes and lots of temptation. Not to mention the race against Gaea continues! This book proved to me that Percy Jackson is the strongest demigod.
