Five Nights at Freddy's: Silver Eyes - Graphic Novel #1

Hello, all! Today we have a fun horror graphic novel! FNAF!

If you are a fan of horror, you definitely know about FNAF. For anyone who doesn't, FNAF is centralized around a pc game where you are a security guard trying to survive five nights at a pizzeria where animatronics reside and "wake up" at night. You have to survive until morning and there are several mechanisms by which you can defend yourself (kind of).

This graphic novel is the result of "The Silver Eyes" novel by the creator of FNAF, Scott Cawthon. I started with this graphic novel (that does not have as much detail) and I'm currently reading the actual book. This way, I don't miss any details when I'm reading the full story.

Fans of FNAF understand basically what is happening in the novel prior to reading it. And so, this graphic novel is easy to follow and understand. However, there are many, many chances for true fans of the game series as Scott uses a sort of parallel universe to explain the lore of FNAF.

Overall though, the graphics are nice and refreshing. The story is interesting but in the end it is missing some information that is probably explained in the actual book (I will test this hypothesis once I finish the book). And so you are left with a sort of dry taste in your mouth, it feels like the novel has a cliffhanger but it does not really. It is simply that the novel does not do the lore justice.

Therefore, I award this book:
