Percy Jackson & the Last Olympian Graphic Novel

Hello!

We are done with the Percy Jackson graphic novels! I am very excited to talk about this book because it is my favorite one in the PJ series!

The Last Olympian is full of excitement and surprises. Finally, Percy's 16th birthday is upon them and the Great Prophecy must be fulfilled. Percy's leadership skills and bravery are really shown in full mode in this novel. Seeing the camp fighting against Kronos' monsters gave me chills.

Especially when Silena tried to unite the camp by portraying Clarisse in full armor and leading the Ares cabin to fight. And the fact the destiny of the drakon enemy fulfilled when a child of Ares (Clarisse) destroyed it in a fit of rage.

And the reveal of Silena being the spy for Luke was shocking to see in full color, the honor of her shroud at her burial and being hailed as a hero after all as she was used by Luke was so sad and moving.

I especially love the portrayal of the scene where Hades and Nico (along with Persephone, Demeter & the underworld army) join in the fight against Kronos himself while Poseidon with his sea army fight the abomination of Typhon.

The fact that these two Gods left their domains in order to help save Olympus made me tear up, especially when Percy asks of the Gods to promise to claim all demigods and build cabins and thrones for every single deity. I recall in the actual book that Rick Riordan stated Hades sat in the throne room looking really surprised (he's only invited in the winter solstice) with Nico sitting at his feet smiling at him.

I absolutely loved that and it made me emotional because ultimately, Luke did everything he did because he felt used and unwanted.

Overall, this graphic novel is the icing on the cake and it did a PERFECT job in showing the major scenes in the story. I enjoyed it immensely and seeing Percy and Annabeth kissing in the end was just beautiful.
